Magnetic properties of the three-band Hubbard model

چکیده
We present magnetic properties of the three-band Hubbard model in the paraand antiferromagnetic phase on a hypercubic lattice calculated with the Dynamical Mean-Field Theory (DMFT). To allow for solutions with broken spin-symmetry we extended the approach to lattices with AB-like structure. Above a critical sublattice magnetization md ≈ 0.5 one can observe rich structures in the spectral-functions similar to the t-J model which can be related to the well known bound states for one hole in the Neélbackground. In addition to the one-particle properties we discuss the static spin-susceptiblity in the paramagnetic state at the points q = 0 and q = (π, π, π, · · ·) for different dopings δ. The δ-T -phase-diagram exhibits an enhanced stability of the antiferromagnetic state for electron-doped systems in comparison to hole-doped. This asymmetry in the phase diagram is in qualitative agreement with experiments for high-Tc materials. We review various ways to express the partition function of the single-band Hubard model as a path integral. The emphasis is made on the derivation of the action in the integrand of the path integral and the results obtained from this approach are discussed only briefly. Since the single-band Hubbard model is a pure fermionic model on the lattice and its Hamiltonian is a polynomial in creat...
متن کاملUnifieddescriptionof chargeandspinexcitationsof stripes in cuprates
We study stripes in cuprates within the one-band and the three-band Hubbard model. Magnetic and charge excitations are described within the time-dependent Gutzwiller approximation. A variety of experiments (charge profile from resonant soft X-ray scattering, incommensurability vs. doping, optical excitations, magnetic excitations, etc.) are described within the same approach.
متن کاملExact many-electron ground states on diamond and triangle Hubbard chains
We construct exact ground states of interacting electrons on triangle and diamond Hubbard chains. The construction requires (i) a rewriting of the Hamiltonian into positive semidefinite form, (ii) the construction of a many-electron ground state of this Hamiltonian, and (iii) the proof of the uniqueness of the ground state. This approach works in any dimension, requires no integrability of the ...
متن کاملOne-particle spectral weight of the three-dimensional single-band Hubbard model.
Dynamic properties of the three-dimensional single-band Hubbard model are studied using quantum Monte Carlo combined with the maximum entropy technique. At half-filling, there is a clear gap in the density of states and well-defined quasiparticle peaks at the top ~bottom! of the lower ~upper! Hubbard band. We find an antiferromagnetically induced weight above the naive Fermi momentum. Upon hole...
متن کاملA simple model for magnetism in itinerant electron systems
A new lattice model of interacting electrons is presented. It can be viewed as a classical Hubbard model in which the energy associated to electron itinerance is proportional to the total number of possible electron jumps. Symmetry properties of the Hubbard model are preserved. In the half-filled band with strong interaction the model becomes the Ising model. The main features of the magnetic b...
